The Musing
Musing on Graduation

What’s up, Muselings?

Yesterday, I finally graduated high school, and the first thought that entered my head was, “Now What?”

It seems I wasn’t alone in this feeling. Graduating from high school was supposed to be a major event in our lives, but it certainly didn’t feel that way emotionally. I was left wondering whether or not I’m just a cold, heartless individual or if graduation has lost meaning.

With the rising attendance rates for college, it seems that high school graduation’s importance might have been supplanted by college’s, or perhaps this is just part of growing up. Time doesn’t slow down, and I, for one, thought that there would be some sort of Chronic Landmark to signify this moment in time. Perhaps the secret is that we need to embrace opportunities for happiness and importance when they arrive, because time doesn’t slow down just for us to realize that.

What are your thoughts on graduation?

Musings on Sadness

Sadness is a powerful emotion. It can suck us up like an abyss. It takes all my willpower just to walk. Everyone puts us down, and no matter what we do, things are going wrong. All of our ideas aren’t up to snuff, and it doesn’t look like there is any light in sight. So we just wallow in the abyss and cold, slowly freezing over, and we become clouded by our misery, struggling to find meaning in everything. I become disgusted at myself for feeling this way, and feel pathetic and weak. Why am I even wasting other people’s time?

And then, just something as simple as a snail can take you out of the abyss. We try work through our problems. A hand stretches out to lift you up. You reach out for anyone to grab you out of your ditch. Sometimes we aren’t able to figure things out on our own. That’s alright. We’re meant to be with others. Humans are SOCIAL beings. It’s the rare individual who can work through everything on their own. And sometimes, we can’t. That’s alright too. Our pain and struggles, our fears and rejections, it all becomes part of us. We become better people for it once we get past. We move on, and time goes on. Eventually, we can work our way back into the light.

All it takes is courage. Just a spontaneous moment. Maybe we just need a good crying. It’s healing. Don’t be afraid of confronting your own emotions. Because no one knows you better than you do, and it’s up to us to make sure we’re okay.

Peace out to my friends. Feel free to comment, as always

This performance is so primal. I think it emphasizes the passion and power that love makes us feel. What say you?

Rainstorms

Weather’s effect on us is a mystery. Right now, it’s raining heavily at my house. To me, heavy rain and lightning is a beautiful thing. I see myself transported to a Hi-tech, urban atmosphere, where light dances off the raindrops and calming music is playing. For my sister and mother, it is the most terrifying weather, and they want nothing more than to be safe in their beds. The thunder and lightning represent danger.

Tell me guys, how does weather affect you?

Suprisingly profound. Do you think we take our urbanization for granted?

I absolutely love this style of art. Am I the only one who would want to live here?

ROBOTS OR DINOSAURS?

The answer, of course, is Dinobots. The Grimlock principle of animated philosophy is an important cultural phenomenon.
